Dog round at Ljuvadal - Train your dog in nature
Welcome with your dog to Ljuvadal's dog round, an activity trail where you and your dog can train together in the beautiful nature. Here you get the opportunity to challenge yourself, strengthen the bonds and enjoy fresh air.
Activities for you and your dog
Along the Braxaleden trail you will find stations offering different exercises for both you and your dog. The information signs at each station will give you tips and ideas on activities suitable for that particular location. To make it easier and give you extra support, there is also a QR code at each station that leads to a short instructional video for each activity. The dog walk is approximately 1.3 km.
Designed to be both educational and playful, the dog walk offers a great opportunity to strengthen your bond with your dog while getting some fresh air and exercise.
Preparing for your visit
Bring treats or toys to reward your dog at the stations, and a leash even if your dog doesn't need to be on a leash for the whole walk. Also remember to bring poop bags to keep the area clean and pleasant for all visitors.
When is the best time to visit the Dog Walk?
The dog run is available all year round, but it is at its most beautiful during the summer months when the campsite is open and nature is in full bloom. We recommend that you visit us during the summer to make the most of both the environment and the experience. After a fun round, you can take the opportunity to buy a refreshing ice cream in our Ice Cream Parlor, a perfect end to the activity!
Dog bath
If your dog wants to cool off after the run, there is a dog bath to the right of the jetty at the bathing area. Here your dog can take a dip and relax in the water.
Dogs at the campsite
Within the boundaries of the campsite, your dog is allowed to run free, as long as it is not aggressive towards other dogs or people and does not disturb other campers. Keep in mind that some people may be afraid of dogs, so be respectful and keep an eye on your dog. Leash your dog if someone asks you to. Also remember to pick up after your dog and put the poop bag in the trash to keep the area clean and pleasant for everyone.
Collaboration
The dog round is a collaboration between Hundiosen, Team4tassar and Ljuvadal Camping & Upplevelser. Government grants for local nature conservation projects are co-financing the implementation of this activity trail. We are happy to offer this opportunity for both local and visiting dog owners to activate their dogs in a lovely environment.
